The Bucks Stop Here Families Willing to Foot the Bill ; at Least $9 Million Is Expected to Be Pumped Into the Local Economy by Families Supporting Their Children's Love of a Sport.
Both the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Portland and U.S. Youth Soccer forecast an economic impact of at least $9 million on southern Maine; income figures won't be totaled by the Convention and Visitors Bureau until after the tournament.
