Sighing and muttering, Brandon Drewry finally got his day in court Wednesday, more than two years after he was charged with the rape and kidnapping of a Portland woman, an attack that raised public concern for its brutality and apparently random nature.
Drewry tried on Tuesday to get the charges dismissed because of the long series of delays that has kept his case from reaching a jury. He was responsible for a few interruptions himself on Wednesday, which threatened to delay his case further.See the full content of this document
