Summary
The Mount Agamenticus Conservation Program will host a community volunteer work day at 9 a.m. Sunday
Volunteers will work alongside the Conservation Crew to protect the habitat and biodiversity of the Mount Agamenticus Conservation Region. The task for the day is to remove buckthorn, a non-native invasive plant. Once thought to be good wildlife habitat, it is now known to have little nutritional value for birds and a chemical within the fruit acts as a laxative, impacting their ability to migrate. Volunteers should bring work gloves, sturdy shoes and picnic lunch.See the full content of this document
