Wind Ridge Farm in Edgecomb, owned by Andy Abello and Amanda Russell, was recently named Lincoln County 2008 Outstanding Tree Farm of the Year and was a runner-up for the Maine award.

The 100-acre farm is also a wildlife habitat certified green by Scientific Certification Systems. Abello harvests all of the wood himself. Russell tends to the lots, ridding them of unwanted species to leave room for species that are more valuable to them: pine, spruce, maple and oak.
