Amber Mooney does things she doesn't have to. The South Portland teenager helps two blind Portland residents read their mail, delivers flowers to patients at Maine Medical Center and, once a month, serves food at the Wayside Soup Kitchen.
"I don't even think about it as service, it's just helping friends," said Mooney of her work with the two blind adults. "Volunteering is my hobby. It's what I like to do with my free time."See the full content of this document
