Krystal Shannon tripled home Jamie Harmon, then scored on Jess Flynn's groundout to help South Portland to a 4-2 victory against Biddeford in an eight-inning Southern Maine Activities Association softball game Friday. Biddeford (1-1), with two singles apiece by Jen Dutremble, Justine McCurry and Michelle Gagnon, outhit the Red Riots, 8-4. But Shannon threw out three runners on attempted steals.

Harmon had two singles for South Portland (2-0).
