On her first trip to Iraq, U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe said the recent outbreak in sectarian killings has tested both the Iraqi security forces and fledgling government that is forming.
Unsettled by the recent bombing of a Shiite shrine in Samarra, the country has teetered on the brink of what some predict could be a civil war.
