A funeral will be held in Canada today for Andrew J. Caldwell, who died Tuesday while testing a lifeboat on a giant oil rig in Portland Harbor.
Caldwell, 49, was a father of four who had worked for many years on oil rigs like the ones recently completed by Cianbro Corp., and had sailed all over the world, family members said. He had been in Portland since mid-December, preparing the rig Pride of Rio de Janeiro for sea trials.See the full content of this document
