U.S. District Court in Portland has granted a preliminary injunction to keep Bob's Discount Off-Price Superstores Inc. from using the name "Bob's Discount Furniture." Connecticut-based Bob's Discount Furniture Inc. sued the Lewiston-based Bob's Discount Off- Price Superstores in April over alleged trademark and prior-use violations.
The Connecticut business recently opened a store at Clark's Pond in South Portland, near the Maine Mall. The Bob's chain based in Maine sells a variety of goods, from chain saws to furniture, and has stores in Scarborough, Lewiston, Greene, Belfast, Brewer and Skowhegan.See the full content of this document
