Summary
BOYS
CLASS A: Portland has nearly its entire team back while adding distance runner Sintayehu Taye. The Bulldogs finished second last year in the state meet behind Deering. The Bulldogs have an outstanding jumper in Skip Edwards and a premier miler in Ayalew Taye, brother of Sintayehu. Deering, winner of the last two indoor titles, suffered key graduation losses but still could be in the top five at the states. The Rams will be tough in the SMAA meet because of a strong junior division. South Portland has the potential to give Portland a battle. The Riots are strong in the distances, the throws and the hurdles. Bonny Eagle should be strong but may be lacking in depth, which could hurt it in the big meets. Edward Little and Waterville look to be strong in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference.See the full content of this document
