Scarborough officials may let U.S. Cellular erect less obtrusive towers on town properties to improve regular mobile phone reception as well as radio coverage for police and firefighters.
The Chicago-based carrier wants to put 100-foot-tall poles at the Black Point and Pleasant Hill fire stations, and could consider other town-owned properties if the effort succeeds. Each pole would carry both cellular antennas and equipment to magnify radio signals for public safety officials.See the full content of this document
