The idea for Saturday's Da Vinci talks, slide show and exhibition at the Portland Museum of Art (story, Page 10) arose after Dana Baldwin, the museum's education director, overheard a clerk at her local library say there were nearly 100 people on the waiting list to read "The Da Vinci Code."
