Summary


The idea for Saturday's Da Vinci talks, slide show and exhibition at the Portland Museum of Art (story, Page 10) arose after Dana Baldwin, the museum's education director, overheard a clerk at her local library say there were nearly 100 people on the waiting list to read "The Da Vinci Code."

"I thought, `Oh, my gosh, here is this great conversation about Renaissance art going on in the community and we may or may not have a painting by da Vinci in our collection. We need to be part of the conversation,' " says Baldwin.
