History: Selected in the fifth round of the 2005 draft by Anaheim. After scoring 38 goals and registering 52 assists in three seasons with Kingston in the Ontario Hockey League, scored a goal and had an assist in five games with the Pirates last spring.

Coach's comment: "He came in here and made a good impression in the few games he played with us last year. He needs to follow through with that kind of play, using his God-given size."
