Leo Rose Hylton was sentenced Friday to serve 50 years in prison for a machete attack during a home invasion in Pittston that maimed a father and daughter.

Hylton, 19, pleaded guilty nine months ago to three counts of attempted murder for the attack in May 2008 on William Guerrette Jr. and his daughter Nicole, then 10.
