With the excellent condition of the golf course, low rounds might have been the norm Wednesday in the opening round of the TD Banknorth Portland Open at Riverside.

But while there were three 65s that share the lead and several others in the 60s, no one went really low to challenge the course record of 61 set by Brian Quinn in the first Geater Portland Open 11 years ago. Someone could over the next two days. If not a 61, then maybe a 62 or 63.
