Keeping Court at Park May Cost City $63,700

Summary


Portland is set to lose a $63,700 federal grant to fix up Tate- Tyng Park because West End neighbors disagree on a plan to remove the basketball court.

The National Park Service awarded the grant two years ago. The proposal that won the grant called for replacing the undersized court with a children's "sprayground," a play area with timed water sprinklers like those at Payson Park and in the Bayside neighborhood.
