A Cumberland County sheriff's deputy was legally justified when he shot and wounded a Buxton man outside a home in Limington in November, the Attorney General's Office has ruled.

Andrew Feeney thought his life was in danger when he shot the man, who was pointing a loaded 12-gauge shotgun at Feeney outside a dimly lit house on the night of Nov. 3, Attorney General Steven Rowe said in a report issued Friday.
