David McCullough's book "Johnstown Flood" is a great example of why he is considered a master at writing narrative history.
Based on the level of detail in the book, and that McCullough is from Pittsburgh, not far from Johnstown, one would figure he had been researching the 1889 disaster all his life.See the full content of this document
