Summary
This is a 1965 file photo of The Willows Hotel at Prouts Neck in Scarborough. The original structure was built around 1860 by Benaiah Libby. In the mid-1870s, Libby converted his home into The Willows. Soon after he passed away, the hotel became the property of the Larrabee family and its appearance changed over the decades. The 52- room hotel, which was last operated by the Mavadones family, was torn down in 1965, and a private home was built on the site.
