The Irvine Gallery of Art at River Tree Center for the Arts will host the lecture "The Art of Maine in Winter" at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Presented by Carl Little, the lecture, based on the book of the same name and published by Down East Books, is being offered in conjunction with the Irvine Gallery exhibition "Winter: Scenes from Maine and `from Away,' " now on view through Feb. 22. Little will present a slide lecture, discussing the art included in the book.
