Votes were still being counted late Tuesday night in the race in House District 98.
Rep. Richard Sykes, R-Harrison, was challenged by Democrat Margaret Reimer for the seat representing Bridgton, Harrison, Sweden, Lovell and Stow.Sykes, 62, served on the Legislature's Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee during his first term.
