For the second time in almost two years, the former Shaw Middle School will get another chance at life. Residents will vote March 8 on a plan to renovate the old landmark into a two-level municipal center.

The Town Council voted unanimously Tuesday to hold the referendum, which will ask residents to approve a $5 million bond to help pay for renovations. The project is expected to cost about $7 million, and will partly be paid for with money left from an earlier plan.
