School and town planners are examining a consultant's recommendation for a new athletic field complex that could cost as much as $8 million. The recommendations call for a new football and soccer field with seating for more than 3,000, as well as improvements to existing fields at Gorham High School and Gorham Middle School

The new complex would be built on land known as the Chick property, which is off Route 25, behind the municipal center and the Narragansett School.
