Dolly Foster and her husband Craig are to be commended for launching an arts education program at Cathedral School in Portland.
The private school had no budget for an arts program, which didn't please Dolly Foster, a trustee at Maine College of Art. She took matters into her own hands and funded a part-time position for Amy Wells, a MECA graduate who wanted to teach. This fall, the Fosters expanded the gift so that Wells can teach full-time. Seven other current or former MECA students also teach part-time, either volunteering or for a small stipend, which is also provided by the Fosters.See the full content of this document
