The clock is ticking for the Kennebunk Board of Selectmen to make a decision on what to do with the empty Park Street and Cousens schools.

The town bought the two buildings from the school department in June and has received five proposals from various agencies, four of which propose using one or both buildings for affordable housing. The fifth submission, from the town's parks and recreation commissioners, proposes to convert Cousens School into a community services center.
