Summary


The Dorothy Stevens Community Center may be outdated and falling apart in places, but community and town support behind it is solid. Originally built near the town's library, the building was moved to West Kennebunk in 1991, where it has become one of the most heavily used meeting spaces in the town.

This month, code enforcement officials found the building has several code violations, and the Board of Selectmen voted to budget $25,000 to correct several health and safety problems.
