I won't say Mainers are cheap, but they do like a bargain. And when you can enjoy flowers inside for Easter and again next year as an outdoor plant, that is making good use of your money.

Each year millions of plants are given as gifts for Easter. Some can go outside and into your garden after they bloom. The most traditional Easter plant is the white Easter lily. Then there are Oriental lilies such as the white "Mona Lisa," tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, crocuses and grape hyacinths - all bulb plants. Give all of these plants plenty of light, water them when they're dry and keep them in cool rooms (55 to 65 degree temperatures) to get the longest bloom possible.
