The family of a man who was killed by South Portland police in late 2006 has dropped its lawsuit against the city and the two officers who were involved.

Herbert and Jackie Gray still blame police in the shooting death of their 40-year-old son, Donald Gray, but they no longer wish to pursue the wrongful-death lawsuit they filed in federal court in November, their lawyer said Tuesday.
