SANFORD-- Doris I. MacGregor, 79, a woman whose heart was always with Sanford, even with her years of traveling with her husband, Robert who served over 20 years in the United States Navy, passed peacefully with her family by her side on July 31, 2008 at the Greenwood Center.
Doris was born March 20, 1929 in Sanford a daughter of Donat N. and Elizabeth M. (McGarth) DuBois and graduated from Sanford High School. Following graduation, Doris moved to Lewiston to attend Pierce Beauty School and upon completion of her studies came back to Sanford and worked with her Aunt at Flora's Beauty Shop on Winter Street. With her classic style and fine taste in clothes and jewelry, she was always dressed impeccably.
