A new survey from the Center for Prevention of Hate Violence documents what many Mainers know in their hearts to be true: being a gay or lesbian citizen puts one at risk.
The survey involved interviews with 100 gay and lesbian people in the state. In all, it documented 63 incidents of discrimination. They range from verbal harassment to firings at work.See the full content of this document
