Former students of the Governor Baxter School for the Deaf cheered as the home of former Principal Robert E. Kelly was torched by firefighters on Saturday on Mackworth Island, the flames consuming the structure as well as sentiments they had written on blocks of wood. Some were as fierce as "Dr. Kelly's soul be burned to hell!"
