Maine Credit Unions Gain in Assets, Loans, Savings

Summary


Maine's credit unions posted gains in assets, loans and savings in 2006, the Maine Credit Union League said.

Assets at the 70 credit unions affiliated with the MCUL grew by slightly more than 4 percent over 2005 to $4.15 billion, the organization said. Loans were up 3.83 percent to slightly more than $3 billion and members' shares, which are equivalent to savings, were up 3.72 percent to $3.4 billion.
