I'm thinking of growing cranberries. Having failed at corn, peas, peppers, beans and garlic, it is time to branch out into something new.

The idea - which probably won't happen in the next decade, if at all - is not as far-fetched as it might seem. Maine has a growing cranberry industry, John Harker of the Maine Department of Agriculture said, with 32 growers cultivating 250 acres of cranberries.
