Summary


Some city officials say that a proposed housing development could be the subdivision of the future, but several neighbors are reluctant to embrace the project. Diane Doyle's plans call for a cluster of 31 "green" houses on 15 acres of a 65-acre parcel off Route 112 near the Buxton town line, with the rest of the land set aside as open space.

In addition, the owners of the property, Donald and Jeanne Horton, are offering to sell an adjoining 100 acres to the city for less than its market value.
