Chicken Dinner to Benefit Kenyan Aids Orphan Center

Summary

A barbecue chicken dinner will be held to benefit the AIDS Orphan Care Center in Kakamega, Kenya at 5:30 Saturday at the Durham Friends Meetinghouse on the corner of route 125 and the Quaker Meetinghouse.

The AIDS Orphan Care Center is an orphanage and feeding program run by Kenyan Quaker women. It is a highly successful grassroots effort to reach out to children who have almost nowhere to turn. It depends entirely on the generosity of people who want to share some of what they can give to health, an education and hope to victims of AIDS.
