Jackie Moran pitched a three-hit shutout with five strikeouts Tuesday night to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 2-0 victory against Gorham in a Western Maine Conference softball game. Brenna Balfour scored the first run in the second inning when she doubled, went to third on a groundout and scored on a fielder's choice for the Capers (11- 4).

Balfour also scored in the fourth when she walked and eventually came across on a passed ball.
