A 64-year-old Embden woman hired to do bookkeeping for the Maine Republican Party was sentenced to six months in jail Monday after pleading guilty to embezzling nearly $50,000.
Constance A. Wilkins pleaded guilty to felony theft and forgery charges in Kennebec County Superior Court and was also ordered to serve three years of probation and to make restitution to the party. She is barred from working in finance jobs after her release.See the full content of this document
