Destiny Johnson, 22, said her problems in school began in fifth grade, when her glasses broke and she didn't want to bring attention to herself by asking for another pair.
No longer able to see the chalkboard, Johnson said, she couldn't take notes or write down assignments and soon fell behind. In high school, she skipped classes and later got pregnant, dropped out of school and tried to support herself with an entry-level job as a retail clerk.See the full content of this document
