Although he had to reschedule his Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) from Saturday to early December and pay an extra $20 for the privilege, Ben Rumery certainly didn't mind waiting one more week to run the cross country state championships.

Rumery, a senior from Thornton Academy whose 2005 season was marred by mononucleosis and a minor injury, needed medical attention after the Western Class A meet Oct. 21 at Cumberland.
