Summary


Like many of you, I've had the misfortune of needing surgery - a couple of knee reconstructions and an Achilles tendon repair - and I won't lie, the experiences were painful. Oh, and the operations kind of stung, too.

The real pain, of course, was sorting through the mountains of insurance forms and hospital bills, trying to track down whether the charges were right and claims were paid properly. Anyone who has done this - and that would include most of us lucky enough to have insurance - knows you have to go through each bill and insurance form and match them up. If you don't, you'll pay charges you shouldn't, sometimes to the tune of hundreds of dollars.
