Motorists on either side of the U.S./Canadian border who were trying to cross north of Jackman couldn't get through late Sunday night and most of Monday, as workers tried to get two big trucks off U.S. Route 201 in Dennistown Plantation.

Robert Higgins, Emergency Management Agency director for Somerset County, said a state plow truck went off the road at 1 a.m. Monday, as the driver attempted to plow around a logging truck that had jack- knifed late Sunday night in the middle of a nor'easter.
