Summary
An Augusta man was killed and a girl severely injured Saturday morning near the Augusta State Airport when their all-terrain vehicle hit a pine tree that a hailstorm had toppled on Tuesday. Officials said a woman jogging along a dirt trail near the airport's perimeter road discovered the body of Eric Breault, 23, and the injured rider about 11 a.m.
Emergency vehicles from state, local and county agencies used the airport's main gate to try to reach the accident site. A LifeFlight helicopter landed on a runway to load the injured girl and take her to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.See the full content of this document
